What does Hebrews 11:1 mean to me?

It took me quite some time to truly understand this verse. I've had it memorized for over 10 years, but now that I'm more mature in my faith I am able to apply it to my life. The verse says that faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen. I notice that oftentimes the things I hope for requires me to believe against all odds. The miracles that God has spoken over my life are manifested in certain seasons of my life. Its easy to believe God when things are going well, but when obstacles in life come I make sure I speak words of faith rather than doubt living by the word of God.

My January 3 P's Goals and January Christian Favorites Videos

So this month I was inspired to come up with a challenge "My January 3 P's Goals. The three P's are Prayer, Planning and Patience. I feel that being a confident woman with extraordinary faith requires these 3 P's. If you would like to find out more about My January 3 P's Goals/Challenge watch this video:

I've made significant improvement on my prayers this month. I use a iphone app called "PrayerPal" and I have been interceding more for others not just focusing on myself. Using faith words instead of negative words. Basically, getting out of my comfort zone. I want to be in a place of extraordinary faith not allowing the days to go by praying the same prayers.

As the month comes to an end I feel like I have met the challenge, but there is still room for improvement. I still need to work on my patience. The planning I over analyzed and had way too many planners on my iphone. Once I realized I was over planning I invested in this planner below that I order a few days ago. I feel like this is the planner I need to keep me motivated, confident, and faithful to God's call on my life:

This planner isn't just writing down what is going on for the day, it challenges you in all aspects of your life that is why I feel God inspired me to choose it. Its almost like He wants me to grow in my faith and get out of my comfort zone. One important thing to remember if God inspires you to do something that is out of the ordinary do it, he will help you. I promise you that God will help you. I will share with you more about how this planner is helping me throughout the year.

And lastly this month my goal was to have more patience. Let me tell you God has been showing me areas that need more patience. I'll share a few, having more patience with myself when I do not get everything done on my list,  and having more patience with my children. I have allowed God to work on these areas and other areas so that my faith can continue to grow. If I resist God's intervention then I will stay in my comfort zone and that is not what I want. I want to have more patience this year in doing so I will be able to help others also. What were your January goals? How did God challenge you this month?

I also have a January Christian Living Favorites video below that you can watch, I hope you enjoy:

A Faith Journal

I've always kept a prayer journal over the years but today I decided I need a faith journal in this journal I will keep a list of prayers that are not your everyday prayers, but supernatural prayers, I will also keep track of my fasting schedule because God's word says that some prayers are answered by prayer and fasting. I feel this will make my faith more stronger!

What is a Confident Woman of Extraordinary Faith?

This is a question I've asked many times over the years especially during difficult times in my life. What I've realized is that confidence and faith go hand in hand. Without confidence it is pretty hard to have extraordinary faith. There have been times when I had to remain confident even when others said a particular thing I was praying about wouldn't happen. Eventually, it did happen and I felt proud of myself that I didn't allow what others believed to hinder my blessing. Extraordinary Faith also is unattainable if you are not confident. That is why I say the two go hand in hand. The purpose of this blog is to share with you from my experiences what it means to be a confident woman of extraordinary faith. It will be written in a simple format, and not filled with endless scripture references although some scriptural references will be used because I am a christian. I will post pictures only sometimes, a few sentences of encouragement,  music videos, quick sermons and much more. It will be geared towards women because that is where I have the most experience. I will also offers helpful books that I've read, are reading, plan to read. Products that I want to buy that will help my faith from a christian coffee cup to a bible application on my computer. I may not always focus on faith, but on other things as well. I will post daily, weekly, and monthly challenges. I will pray for you if you post a prayer request, and share some of my extraordinary faith prayer requests. As the years progress I will update this blog, and change the style of it. Let me tell you a little bit more about me I am a proud mother of three children, enrolled in a school of Religion bachelor's program at Liberty Online University, I am a stay at home mom, and enjoy social networking, beauty treatments, running and collecting gadgets. I also have a brother and sister blog on here. "My Natural Hair Journey to Waist Length, and NaturalBeauty365.
